somebody needs to offer him some cash, and restore that car.
it might set you back a couple hundred bucks to buy a car in that shape...
Some sawz-all blades for fiberglass, and some delicate reconstructive surgery might extricate the original unibody from that penance. New front fenders and a 99-spec front fascia... it needs paint already anyway...

The only thing that makes me feel better looking at this, is knowing it is one of the more common early models (see door mounted seat belts). Can't really see the steering wheel, and at this point I doubt it is stock, otherwise I could narrow down which year it was. Nevertheless, it makes me sad.
